I finally had time to reclaim my promise and write a post here!
Couple of weeks ago I wore my Mey Rin Cosplays dress, apron and bonnet at a theme Birthday party. Then I also realized that I hadn't posted any photos from a photoshoot I had for Mey Rin last summer!
So slowly I got an idea that I could do my first post about her! She's also my very first Cosplay.
I collected some pictures from every convention where I have worn her and thought that I could share her journey that way with you guys! :D
I started cosplaying on summer 2016, thanks to my dear friend Ellu and decided that I want to make Mey Rin to Ropecon. Well, I guess I got the idea of cosplaying quite right from the beginning because the costume wasn't fully ready untill Ropecon but wearable xD
By "fully ready" I mean that there where some parts missing e.g. I had the wrong shoes and petticoat didn't had it's lace rim. This was also my first time wearing a wig, so of course I didn't know that you should pin it on your head with thousands of pins so that it doesn't start sliding back...
But anyway I had so much fun at the con that I started to looking for a ticket to Tracon nearly straight away!

After I found myself a ticket to Tracon I decided that I will make Mey Rin fully ready for that convention! And I did! I even got a chance to borrow an airsoft riffle for the con so I could cosplay Mey Rin on her sniper mode ;)

I can tell that my shoulders were killing me after carrying that beast with me the whole day!
After Tracon Mey Rin rested untill next summer. I didn't manage to get my plan A (Musa Bloomix from Winx Club) cosplay ready in time to Desucon so I decided that it was time to wear Mey Rin again! Especially because I had gotten a new beautiful and LIGHT riffle for her :D
Well of course it was super hot summer day and I noticed that Mey Rins outfit was actually pretty warm to wear...

Chibicon 2017 was the next event for Mey Rin, so I wore her twice on that year too :)
At Chibicon I spontaneously attended a Cosplay Costume competition with her and placed third! Couldn't be happier that my first cosplay costume achieved such a great rank!

I didn't realize that nearly two years had passed when I finally dressed as Mey Rin again last summer for a photoshoot. I'm super happy that Smutchography wanted to shoot her because this cosplay really deserved a real shoot after all these years!

Btw, it's kinda funny how rarely there's pictures from the backside of cosplays. Because
nearly always there's details on the back too! Or at least I feel that I never realize to ask photographers to take pictures from the backside too. Am I the only one? xD
At the moment we are finally watching Black Butler anime together with my better half and I have an gut feeling that you guys might see Mey Rin again sometime this year! ;D
Hopefully you liked to read about Mey Rins jorney <3 I also got an idea that if you are interested I could make a bit more detailed post about her costume. Like close ups of the details e.g. So tell me, would you like read that kind of a post? :)
